General Podiatry

If you are a new patient we carry out a brief medical and condition history in addition to a baseline vascular and neurological assessment regardless of your age or any problems you may have. This allows us to ensure that we have a full record of your lower limb health to build upon as needed.

We then assess your toenails and skin, checking between the toes and around the heels for any problems.

Often people only require routine footcare to help manage their nails and any callus (hard skin) they may have.

We will treat skin problems such as cracked heels, callus and corns at your appointment and depending on their severity discuss treatment options with you. If you have a skin condition such as Hyperkeratosis, Psoriasis, Athletes Foot etc we will develop a treatment plan to suit you.

Nail Surgery

If you have thick, involuted (pinched) or ingrowing toenails, we will make these comfortable during this appointment and advise you of a treatment plan to manage the condition. This may include regular general podiatry, or a regular nail cut appointment. Or you may require Nail Surgery.

Fungal Nails

If you have a fungal nail or several nails we can talk you through our Fungal Nail Treatment Plan, which we can begin at this appointment.

Toenail Reconstruction

If you have damaged or missing toenails you may be suitable for Toenail Reconstruction .

Verrucae

If you have a verrucae or several verrucae we have several treatment options. These will  be discussed and may even be started at this appointment depending on the treatment option you select.
